Michael Bitter - My Purpose

Hi.  I’m Michael Bitter.  My purpose and my passion is to teach small business owners and sales professionals how to build faster-growing, more profitable, and more valuable businesses through a combination of education and coaching/mentoring programs.   My training and consulting services teach and help business owners how to use sales-oriented technology and time management best practices to produce more sales with less time, effort, stress, and anxiety.  In addition to training and mentoring, I also provide consulting services to help my customers design, build, and leverage a proven sales operating system called the Business Growth Engine.

The Business Growth Engine is a proven, sales operating system that drives and makes faster, consistent, profitable, SCALABLE growth possible.  The system leverages 3 proven growth principles and 5 business processes to accomplish nearly automatic growth.  It is the result of more than 35 years of personal study, first-hand experience, and work teaching business owners how to build faster growing and more profitable businesses.  Learn more about the Business Growth Engine.

Michael Bitter - Professional Background

I began my career with a large technology company in the mid-1970s.  Shortly after joining the company I was recruited to join a new business unit that was being formed to provide technology-enabled business process products and services.  During the next 10 years, I worked as a programmer, application designer, and software-enabled business process engineer. In that role, I designed and delivered solutions to some of the largest businesses in the world — including work on the earliest CRM systems.  And, that work — designing and implementing CRM enabled business processes — became my passion.

I loved the work but never lost my desire to own my own business.  So, in the early ’90s, I decided to leave the nest and build my own technology consulting business.  Over the next 10 years, my partners and I built a successful business — using many of the things I had learned as a business process engineer — including the application of CRM software to drive profitable business growth.  In June of 2000, my partners and I sold that business. And, so began another chapter in my career.

I never lost my passion for working with small businesses.  And, following the sale of my successful business I had many small business owners approach me for advice.  I found that I loved teaching, coaching, and mentoring small business owners on how to put CRM and other technology-enabled business processes to work in their business.  That led to my next career and business — which I have been doing now since September of 2000.

Working with small business owners has been a two-way street. I have learned as much as I have shared.  And, my work with small business owners was the catalyst for my signature work called the Business Growth Engine™ — a concept I developed to explain business growth concepts to small business owners and a framework around which to implement CRM solutions.

Over the course of my career, I have been involved in the design, development, and implementation of 50+ technology-enabled business process projects.  I have provided coaching and mentoring to 100+ business owners. Nearly all of those projects have involved some application of CRM software technology.  So, I have developed significant expertise. And, I have combined that expertise with the passion I have for helping small business owners build better businesses to create Biz Development Strategies and the courses training and consulting services I offer.
